After the holiday is before the holiday: what do you do to stay calm and focused?

Now, shortly before our well-deserved holiday, many of us feel exhausted and worn out. We are often on our last legs. It becomes more difficult to make the right decisions. The stress we take home with us can even make us ill.

This makes it all the more important to channel stress and keep our energy levels high, especially when important decisions need to be made. But how do we do this?

Many people are turning to sport as a way to compensate, and most are currently relaxing on a two-week holiday. That's good for you, of course.

But what helps me personally the most is regularly doing something completely different from my day-to-day work.

Mainly playing drums in my band Captain Zorx. With weekly rehearsals and concerts big and small. This fun project is challenging, but without any external pressure to succeed, creative, light and invigorating - exactly what I need to switch off. The music and the theatre around it offer me the opportunity to immerse myself in another world and leave the stress of everyday life completely behind me.

It's also a good way to relieve stress during working hours. A quick trip to the e-drum set in the office, where I can let off steam for 5-10 minutes, works wonders for my composure and concentration. Mini-breaks like this help to clear my head and recharge my batteries.

That way I can keep going for a long time and stay calm and focussed even in stressful times.
